1914 Star (165073 Pte W.A. Corben,  1/ N Som Yeo.), British War & Vistory Medals (472 A. Sjt.  W.A. Corben,  1/ N Som Yeo.,  Special Constabulary Long Service Medal (William A. Corben)  All GVF+ With  original ribbon bar including rosette for the trio.

William Alfred Corben enlisted into the North Somerset Yeomanry on 3rd May 1913 and was mobilized with the regiment in 1914 arriving in France on 2nd November 1914 qualifying for the clasp to his 1914 Star. He later served with the RA with the rank of BQMS and also the Labour Corps. He was discharged sick on 17th January 1919 with entitlement to the Silver War Badge. During service he had the following regimental numbers:

North Somerset Yeomanry – 472

North Somerset Yeomanry – 165073 in 1917 after unit renumbering. The NS Yeo were given the block staring 16500 which indicates that Corben was the 73rd surviving in service of the regiment.

Labour Corps – 514144
