Sgt Arthur Michell landed in France with 217 Ambulance RAMC on 7th October 1914 and is entitled to the 1914 Star clasp as shown in his MIC and the medal roll. Sgt Mitchell was awarded the LS&GC in 1926 in AO 368/1916 while serving with the British Army of the Rhine. The clasp has parted from the well worn medal ribbon.
